Days 1–2: Arrival, Anuradhapura & Jaffna (1 Night Anuradhapura and 1 Night Jaffna)

BIA to Anuradhapura: 208 km

Anuradhapura to Jaffna: 200 km

·   Arrive and head straight north. Spend the first half of Day 2 in Anuradhapura, then drive to Jaffna for an overnight.

Anuradhapura: A UNESCO World Heritage site and ancient capital. Key sites include the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi tree, the massive Ruwanwelisaya stupa, and the Jetavanaramaya, which remains one of the largest brick structures ever built.

Jaffna: The spiritual center of the Tamil community. Highlights include the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil—an iconic, ornate Hindu temple—and the historic Jaffna Public Library, which reflects the region's cultural resilience.

Day 3: Jaffna to Trincomalee (1 Night Trincomalee)

Jaffna to Trincomalee: 235 km

·   Morning tour of Jaffna (Nallur Kovil, library), then drive to Trincomalee. This is a long driving day.

Trincomalee: Famous for its natural harbor and the cliffside Koneswaram Temple, an ancient Hindu pilgrimage site perched on Swami Rock with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean.

Day 4: Trincomalee to Sigiriya/Habarana (2 Nights Sigiriya/Habarana or Dambulla)

Trincomalee to Sigiriya/Habarana: 102 km

·   Morning beach/temple time in Trincomalee, afternoon transfer to the Cultural Triangle.

Day 5: Sigiriya/Dambulla (2nd night of 2 Nights)

Sigiriya & Dambulla Exploration: 40 km

·   Climb Sigiriya Rock at sunrise. Afternoon visit to Dambulla Cave Temple.

Sigiriya: An awe-inspiring 5th-century rock fortress. Visitors climb past ancient frescoes and the iconic "Lion's Paw" entrance to reach the palace ruins at the summit.

Dambulla Cave Temples: A vast complex of five caverns housing over 150 Buddha statues and intricate religious murals that span centuries of artistic history.

Day 6: Kandy (1 Night Kandy)

Sigiriya to Kandy: 105 km

·   Afternoon: Temple of the Tooth and cultural show.

Kandy: The last royal capital. The city centers around a picturesque lake and houses the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Cultural shows here feature traditional drumming, acrobatics, and fire dancing.

Peradeniya Botanical Gardens: Once royal grounds, these gardens near Kandy feature thousands of flora species, a famous orchid house, and a massive Javan fig tree.

Day 7: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya (1 Night Nuwara Eliya)

·       Scenic drive through tea country, visiting a tea factory and botanical gardens.

Nuwara Eliya: Known as "Little England," this cool-climate region is the heart of tea country. A factory visit provides insight into the "leaf-to-cup" process of world-famous Ceylon tea.

Day 8: Ella 1 Night Ella

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya: 90 km

Nanu Oya (Nuwara Eliya) to Ella: 75 km

·       Take the morning train from Nanu Oya to Ella. Hike Little Adam’s Peak in the afternoon.

Ella: A mountain village known for its dramatic scenery. The Nanu Oya to Ella train ride is considered one of the most beautiful in the world, while Little Adam’s Peak offers an accessible hike with stunning panoramic views of the Ella Gap.

Day 9: Yala (1 Night Yala)

Ella to Yala National Park: 119 km

·       Morning drive to Yala. Afternoon safari.

Yala National Park: Sri Lanka’s flagship wildlife reserve. It is renowned for having one of the world's highest concentrations of leopards, alongside roaming elephant herds and sloth bears.

Day 10: Yala to Mirissa/Galle (1 Night Mirissa or Galle)

Yala to Galle: 180 km

Galle to Bentota: 87 km

·       Morning transfer to the South Coast. Afternoon relaxing or exploring Galle Fort.

Galle Fort: A colonial-era fortified city established by the Dutch. Today, it is a vibrant hub of boutique shops, cafes, and historic architecture set against sea ramparts.

Day 11: Bentota/Departure Preparation (1 Night Bentota)

Bentota to BIA Airport: 123 km

Bentota Activity: 40 km

·       Activities (water sports/turtle hatchery).

Bentota: A premier coastal destination known for water sports on the Bentota River and sea turtle hatcheries, where visitors can learn about marine conservation and the protection of endangered hatchlings.

Day 12: Departure

·       Transfer to airport.

Maximum leisure on beach with visiting on any missed outs at Bentota. And leave for departure – Grab a window for a Colombo City Tour based on Time – advised to discuss with you guide for timing.
